Condensate pumps collect and disperse hot water and liquids produced by condensation from heating systems. Additionally gases, oil condensing boilers, and the steam produced by heat exchangers and radiators disperse too. Basically typical use of condensate pumps is where the boiler is in the basement. Gravity won’t move the water to the drainage system at ground level.
